Privacy Policy

Overview

BrainForge is an on-device AI learning assistant developed by Future @I LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use BrainForge (the "App").

The short version: BrainForge runs entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal study data to any server. Your learning history, flashcards, notes, and AI conversations never leave your phone.

1. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store:

2. On-Device Data Storage

All App data — including flashcards, study sessions, knowledge graph entries, and AI model outputs — is stored locally on your device in an encrypted SQLite database.

Encryption standard: AES-256-GCM at rest. Encryption keys are managed by the Android Keystore and never leave your device.

We have no technical ability to access your local data.

3. Data Portability & Exports

You may export your data at any time via Settings → Data & Privacy → Export. The export produces a .futureai file encrypted with AES-256-GCM. You control where this file goes — we do not receive a copy.

4. On-Device AI (Gemma 4 E4B)

BrainForge's AI runs entirely on your device using the llama.rn inference engine. AI prompts and responses are processed locally and are never sent to an external API or server. We do not operate any AI backend for this App.

5. Advertising (Free Tier Only)

Users on the free tier will see banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain device identifiers and usage signals in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Your study data is never shared with AdMob.

MAX subscribers (paid tier) see no advertisements. AdMob is not loaded for MAX users.

To opt out of personalized ads, use the standard Android Ad ID opt-out in your device Settings, or upgrade to MAX.

6. In-App Purchases & Billing

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Purchase records are held by Google in accordance with their terms. We receive only an anonymized confirmation that a purchase was completed.

7. Support Communications

If you contact us at support@futureati.app, we will receive and store the information you include in that message (such as your email address and the content of your message) solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. We do not use support emails for marketing.

8. Crash Reporting & Analytics

BrainForge does not currently integrate any third-party crash reporting or analytics SDKs beyond Google AdMob (free tier only, described above). If this changes in a future version, this policy will be updated and you will be notified in the App.

9. Children's Privacy

BrainForge is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@futureati.app and we will delete it promptly.

10. Data Deletion

To delete all your data from the App, go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete Account. This permanently wipes the local encrypted database. Because we do not hold a copy of your data, deletion is immediate and irrecoverable.

For deletion of any support correspondence, email support@futureati.app.

11. Security

We use the following measures to protect your data:

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the App and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
